babies
A few weeks ago I took a broom outside to swat down two birds nests, one on my front porch, the other on the side of my house on the water meter. But then I thought twice. I took my compact mirror and my stool, and discovered beautiful baby blue eggs hidden inside. I left them. Just this week, both nests hatched and now I'm the proud "landlord" to 8 beautiful (very ugly) baby birds.

Back on Harvard, we had a Cardinal nest in our bushes. I used to see both the male and female cardinals in those bushes all of the time (and the female would attack the living room windows)
Out here at Dabinawa, I can hear Cardinals, but have yet to see a male.
Fun! You can always clean up the mess later... :)
